ECERDC’s vision is to be a developed region by 2020. The ECER Master plan is developed to accelerate the growth of the East Coast economic Region in a viable, equitable and sustainable manner with tourism as one of the key economic drivers. Endau Rompin National Park has been listed as one of the region‟s ecotourism products for ECER within the District of Mersing.

The study area is located in Mukim Rompin within the District of Rompin in Pahang and districts of Segamat and Mersing in Johor. Total study area is approximately 20 km radius or 89,102 hectares.

The consultants involved in the ecological, conservation and environment components are tasked to prepare an Environmental Management Plan (EMP) and Development Guideline (EMG) for the overall development and the Key Development Projects (KDP) identified for “Taman Negara Endau Rompin Strategic Implementation Plan (SIP)”.
