Yang lama dikelek, yang baru didukung.
Contrary to popular belief, ecological-based projects aren’t something technicality alone can capture. To do it well, one must also possess the art of observation, personal touch and most importantly devotion to mimicking nature. I give advice, plan, design and conduct field research. I see myself as a bridge of sort between the new and old. Development and conservation. Cutting edge technology and traditional know-how. Every project and situation requires extraordinary solutions and multi-disciplinary approach.
As an independent consultant, I work for project directors, architects, designers, planners, engineers, landowners, non-profit organizations and anyone who thinks sustainable development is the way to go. They appreciate my positive attitude, on-time deliverables and ability to turn something raw into masterpieces.
I am a certified ISO Standards lead assessor. My writings and photojournalism works are featured in regional mass media, Malaysia’s oldest English daily New Straits Times, Encyclopedia.com and Highbeam.com as verified facts for reference by the news, legal and academic fraternity. On weekends and free time, I have an interest for SE Asian anthropology, native heritage and Orang Asli community work; I founded Outskirt Outreach. I am a fan of low-impact, climatic and social adaptive architecture and like to comb the countryside to learn about traditional building techniques.
I believe in humility, lifelong learning and living a simple life.
Contact
I am based in Ipoh, Malaysia and travel often to far flung regions for work. I usually reply emails within 24hrs when not away in the wild frontier, or weekends. Emails whizzing in and out of Asia may be filtered off as spams by mailbox servers in US, Canada and Europe. If you do not receive a reply from me in 4-5 days, it is possible the email has been filtered off. Please resend.
